Hey 👋
I'm Amine
In 2021 I started my Software Developing journey at Fontys University.
I chose to pursue a career in software engineering since I have always been interested and amazed by tech while growing up.
I would spend hours learning about new topics and working on side projects. I became the go-to “IT-specialist” for friends and family.
Before starting my software journey at Fontys University, I way more hands on with tech. I got in to repairing hardware such as broken phone's, monitors, controllers etc. This caused me to learn a lot of things like soldering, debugging issues and most importantly patience 😆.
This even became a little side hustle where I would repair peoples phone or refurbish phone's to resell.

In the first semester at Fontys we had a couple of subjects you would follow before you would pick one of them and pursue it for the remainder of the course.
I ended up picking software but I also had a large interest in infrastructure so, to expand my knowledge in that field I decided to buy a little pc and turn it in to a server.
So I flashed Ubuntu Server on it and learned a lot in the process like setting firewall rules, docker, self-hosting my applications and most importantly working with Linux.
Being able to manipulate software and systems to behave in unintended ways was a compelling concept to me. That is also the reason why I chose the Cyber Security specialization in my 4th Semester.
My interest in the hacking/ cyber security space started at a young age. One of my early experiences was editing memory in mobile games so I could get more in-game currency to buy cool items.
I learned a lot about common attacks like XSS, SQL injection, WIFI Hacking, CSRF and a lot more. At the end of the semester we applied what we learned in a penetration test at eijck where we even discovered a couple of vulnerabilities and we helped them mitigate these.

Currently I am in my 5th semester. In this semester, I'm doing my research internship at Shell. Where I will be researching a problem and developing a software-based solution.
